Candidate must be a team player and exhibit strong interpersonal skills as well as the ability to manage complex assignments. Primary responsibilities for this position include:

Systems and Software Architect

We are looking for a highly motivated and seasoned systems & software architect. In this exciting role you will help drive the platform and application vision as you bridge the space between development and deployment.

 

Primary responsibilities for this position include:

System Design, architecture and development -

  • Serve as a technical lead for architecture, design and interface decisions related to a major customer’s next-generation, global Web platform
  • Drive the design methodology of the software development process and ensure adoption within Kondra’s technology partners
  • Assess feasibility and ramifications of new business requirements. Design appropriate solutions and recommend alternative approaches when necessary
  • Stay abreast of advancements in Web technologies in order to determine relevance and possible impact to existing system
  • Recommend engineering best practices, including use of design patterns, code reviews and automated unit testing
  • Collaborate, communicate with different teams, and triage technical issues across teams

 

Partnership with Lines of Business/Partners -

  • Collaborate with product and project managers as well as business to define product features, architectural deliverables and project estimates
  • Talk to the business to understand business and technical requirements
  • Translate business requirements and product vision into application architecture
  • Support Business requests for investigation and analysis
  • Collaborate with third party implementation partners (ISV) to review the deliverables, define and enforce standards
  • Facilitate the onboarding of dozens of business units onto the global platform.

  • Research technology trends and apply the results to solve business problems
  • Develop solution prototype and be able to demonstrate value proposition of the solutions to a technical audience

 

Ongoing Support & Maintenance -

  • Provide support in troubleshooting / investigations
  • Respond quickly to critical requests
  • Support, promote and evolve the architecture and design by partnering with the engineering leaders

Required experience and competencies for this position are:

  • BS in Computer Science or related field, advanced degree desirable.
  • Twelve (12) years related experience, including hands on-development and project leadership.

  • Demonstrated track record of architecting highly scalable, highly performing, secure and easy to leverage platforms and frameworks that utilize web services.
  • Experienced Java Architect, having been a technical lead on several enterprise level web applications with a real time load of at least 1000 simultaneous users.
  • Solid design and coding skills with experience in web technologies: Java, AJAX, JSP, Web Services, XML, SOAP, SOA frameworks, HTTP(s) & JMS protocols, Spring, Linux.
  • Comfortable with SQL and a solid understanding of Oracle and MySQL.
  • Proficient in documenting overall system architectures for different audiences ranging from UML to wireframes to wiki entries.
  • Expertise in security, network, and storage architectures.

The role of the human resource executive (HRE) will be to collect information from the key managers who are hiring the employees about the duties, responsibilities, necessary skills, outcomes, and work environment of a particular job that need to be accomplished by the employee filling the position. Analyze the information gathered and plan a recruiting strategy for hiring the right employee. Develop and execute recruiting plans. Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees. Coordinate and implement college recruiting initiatives. The ideal candidate should have good 'people' skills, confidence and communication skills to deal in a calm and tactful manner with a variety of situations, strong interpersonal skills, good influencing and representing skills.   • Interface and coordinate with QA groups within our customer organizations.

 

Required experience and competencies for this position are:

Skills must to have:

  • 3+ years of development experience in HTML, CSS.
  • Very strong expertise in converting HTML pages with Browser compatibility.
  • Experience on designing UI solutions around large systems and their implementations.
  • Strong experience in avoiding browser compatibility issues and resolving them.

 

Skills nice to have:

  • Experience of JSP/PHP
  • Designing experience
  • Experience on CMS ( Joomla, Drupal and WordPress) applications development.
  • Understanding of HTML 5, AJAX, Accessibility and Usability.
  • Developing JavaScript and jquery.

 

Professional Skills:

  • Fast learner : You will absolutely need to learn new technologies. If you just want to work on stuff you already know, this isn't the job for you.
  • Strong team player : At any given time we're working on anywhere from three to five different projects. We organize into multiple overlapping project teams so if you don't like working with others, you won't like it here.
  • Strong teacher : Just as you will need to learn new skills, we want you to be able to share your best practices and knowledge with the team. If you don't like to share your knowledge with others, you won't do well here.
  • Good communication skills : We feel it's important for engineers to hear requirements straight from our customers so if you prefer to be left alone in a cube all day, you won't like this job.
  • Self starter : We try to set aside 10% of our schedule for independent or team research projects so we can stay on top of upcoming technologies. If this seems like a hassle, you won't like this job.
